Choose from workshops, startup pitches, demonstrations, and networking gatherings at venues across the region. Business owners, founders, students, creatives, and community members can explore practical technology and meet local innovators.

Most events are free. Registration, host approval, ticket availability, and admission vary by event. Use the live calendar for current times and locations.

Five signature events

  1. Oct. 19 — State of Innovation Kickoff Breakfast

    Meet the people shaping regional innovation and business. The Urban Hive, 730 I Street, Sacramento. Confirm the current time on the registration page.

  2. Oct. 20 — Startup World Cup Sacramento

    Watch regional startups pitch at the Carlsen Center, Sacramento State. Free public attendance requires registration. Startup applications closed September 25; this listing is for attending.

  3. Oct. 21 — AI for Small Business

    11 AM–3 PM at Aggie Square, 4480 2nd Avenue, Sacramento. Practical workshops and a resource marketplace help owners build AI workflows and business tools. The week’s program lists NorCal SBDC and CA Capital.

  4. Oct. 23 — AWS Pitch Competition / Pitch for Humanity

    6–8:30 PM. Selected builders pitch technology addressing real-world problems and compete for up to $40,000 in AWS credits. Registration requires host approval; the address is provided after registration.

  5. Oct. 24 — Tandem Summit

    The closing summit explores technology, people, society, building, and the environment. Tickets have not yet been released; check the official page for updates.
